Nouveau Chique part II
Dear friends, dear readers, dear women, tough men,
Welcome to another episode in the saga of Façionista 2 | 11. This time we introduce you to the wide area of the Walloon countryside. In our quest for the most beautiful spots in Belgium. A castle, three cats and 9 beautiful models will dive into the interior of the cleanest country on Earth, the Holy Land of Erasmus, the Court of Folly.

Castles are Decadent
…From the Rosary we drove down directly to Poekes Castle. I go there frequently: often there are cultural happenings or parties or the like. It’s a bit of a perished castle, even though Poeke tries to get it restored. The will is there, but the money isn’t. You know the drill…
Today I confiscate this image, this place, to be my Castle.

Castle Decadendencies
So here I am.
The 17th of April, going on a trip with a lot of beautiful & wonderful people. We planned to do a photo shoot at several locations, with several photographers. Theme of this happening was “Nouveau Chique” and so we did. We travelled all day, from castle to castle. Each time getting more impressed. By the setting, the photographers, the people behind the scenes and the scenery themselves…
We started off in Aalst, at The Rosary. It’s a beautiful setting, with a nice garden. Normally it hosts meals & parties. Today it hosted a Team of Decadence, the Nouveau Chique. Since my words don’t mean a thing without the images; here we go!

Open roads & many castles
Huge lanes with plenty of green
Horny trees with loads of money
And us, shaking down tree by tree
Stealing the contents of their grandeur
With every shot their Soul is Captured

The Raise of Folly
I’ll do so in a mix of Dutch and English language (the only two I speak, apart from German). If you feel the urge to write in French or otherwise want to join the blog about Façionista 2|11, feel free to drop me an email. Everybody is welcome to contribute, as long as we’re talking quality here.
In this maiden post I would like to share some pictures of the Sint Baafs Site, the place where it all will be taking place, at september the 17th this year. These photo’s I made around the same time last year; somewhere in september or the beginning of october. So the light will be similar during Façionista 2|11: The Raise of Folly.
If we cannot spread the Message of Love on this location, we never will… 😉
To get you started & end this post, I want to give you a message of ‘hope’. Matt Ridley explains perfectly well why I, for myself, organise this Fashion Theatre: it’s the mixture of ideas that make it blossom. And by flourishing the fashion theatre, I flourish myself. And isn’t life all about self-exploration by sharing you with others?
Isn’t this reality?
Aren’t we doing this all, just so that we can get inspired by each other?
I am, that’s for sure!
So, for you who coöperate: I hope you will enjoy the trip towards the event
